Neil Cavuto: 1 REP Alan Grayson: 0
3 04 2009Could they have come up with a better person to handle Cavuto on a national broadcast? Well, we know how busy they are giving themselves raises and spending our tax money. Well, I guess those are one in the same. So who is Alan Grayson? Another fucking lawyer. Maybe if we got some sanitation workers and day care women to replace these morons, things might run well for once.

NY Times get it wrong again. Glenn Beck not playing on conservative fears.
30 03 2009In a story by the waning paper, the New York Times does their best to malign Glenn Beck’s love of the country by basically calling him a fear monger. The trouble is that they use lame excuses for examples of why he is a fear monger.
“That’s good dramatic television,” said Phil Griffin, the president of a Fox rival, MSNBC. “That’s who Glenn Beck is.” MSNBC? Yeah that’s a great source. The people that didn’t even hide the fact that they were in the tank for Obama throughout the election. They constantly apologize and excuse his foolish policies and spread hatred and ignorance of anything that deviates from their left think propaganda via people like Chris Matthews, Keith Olbermann (my worst person in the world everyday) and Rachel Maddow. These people constantly hammered on Sarah Palin, a person most of them weren’t even familiar with until McCain pulled her out of Alaska. There are the people who can’t even disguise their contempt for Bobby Jindal during a live statement.
It’s really easy for the New York Times to say the partisan behavior is all on one side when their intended audience is a left-leaning group anyway.
Glenn Beck isn’t trying to scare people any more than any other conservative is trying to scare people. They are simply concerned about the direction that the country is heading as our alot of people these days.

Bluepitbull
30 03 2009I think when I go to other blogs, people misunderstand my handle, Bluepitbull. That’s a name taken from my dog, Shadow who is a blue American Pit bull Terrier. She is a doll, and raised as a lap dog. The only time she bites is when other dog’s take her stuff, so she has never bitten a person.

Dear California: Take your fucking people back!!!
30 03 2009Thanks to decades of inept governors and gigantic state spending, California is going in the toilet. People are leaving in droves. Woot!! Trouble is that they are all coming to Texas. Moreover, they have no respect for our values and sensibilities.
Before the big “O” was elected president, we could tell who the more die-hard cailfornians were by the stupid peace symbol and there disdain for anything Republican. Now, it’s there inability to stop before the white line and texting on cell phones. It’s more than that, but that’s what is annoying me at the moment.
If you are going somewhere to live, normally you learn about the culture and the people. There people seem to not care where they are as long as they can get there starbucks and stupid organic phony veggies.
We are not rednecks, nor racists, backwoods, hicks or anything like that. If you don’t like how we live, keep driving to a REAL fun place like Kentucky or Arkansas.

Brazil builds walls around Rio de Janeiro slums
29 03 2009RIO DE JANEIRO, March 28 (Reuters) – The government of Rio de Janeiro is building concrete walls to prevent sprawling slums from spreading farther into the picturesque hills of this world-famous tourist destination, an official said on Saturday.
Construction has begun in two favelas, or shantytowns, in the southern districts of Rio de Janeiro, a government spokeswoman told Reuters. One of the two is Morro Dona Marta, which police occupied in November to control crime and violence caused mostly by rival drug gangs.
Officials say the wall is to protect the remaining native forest but critics fear the move could be seen as discriminatory and become a blemish symbolizing Brazil’s deep divisions between rich and poor.
“There is no discrimination. On the contrary, we are building houses for them elsewhere and improving their lives,” Tania Lazzoli, spokeswoman for the secretary of public works at the state government, told Reuters.
By year-end the Rio de Janeiro state government wants to build almost 7 miles (11 km) of walls to contain 19 communities. It will spend 40 million reais ($17.6 million) and have to relocate 550 houses, Lazzoli said.
“The objective is to contain the spread of the communities and protect the forest,” Lazzoli said. “There are many houses in high risk areas.”
During the rainy season many shacks and primitive houses built in ravines or on hills are washed away by flash floods or mudslides.
Thousands of favelas sprung up throughout Rio de Janeiro and other major cities in recent decades, as millions of impoverished immigrants came from the countryside in search of jobs.
On Saturday the front page of the leading daily O Globo featured a picture of a gray wall beside a forest in Morro Dona Marta. Construction workers in blue overalls were seen with shovels and push carts. Middle-class apartment buildings are seen in the background.
Known for the stunning views of its rugged coastline, with golden beaches and lush mountains, Rio de Janeiro attracts millions of tourists each year — many for its world-famed Carnival celebrations.
Violence between gangs and with police periodically erupts beyond the favelas, forcing stores and roads in entire neighborhoods to shut down. Occasionally juvenile gangs ransack tourists on the beach in posh districts such as Ipanema or Leblon.

Interesting. What do ya think would happen if the Mayor of say, New York put a wall around Harlem? What just happened in Brazil the other day? The President of Brazil blamed the ecomic crisis on blond, blue-eyed people. You think blond, blue-eyed people live in the slums of Rio? I think not very many, if any. I see they intend to build new houses and relocate them. Lets see how that is doing in a few years. You cannot hand people things. Being poor isn’t bad, but for many it’s a mindset.
Seems to me one guy ain’t talking to the other. I saw a liberal blog earlier that wanted politicians to focus more on social services that on crime. That crime is just a buzzword for politicians. So what kind of message does it send when your solution is to build a wall around it? The wrong one in any city. Oh, and if you are trolling this blog, don’t try to make a connection between that last statement and our Southern border.

Black Military Service in our Great Country
27 03 2009I was disturbed by something I read in another blog. Some want to hold on to the past and not move forward in our percieved ongoing struggle with racism in the United States. People on all sides want it their way. There is no one way. We either work together or we fade away.
Not many would deny that throughout the history of this old world that racism was, and still continues to pervade most societies. One person said that the United States Army had a history of racism. Got it. I agree. However, as is the case with most anything, there are exceptions. There is also a great history of Black Americans serving in the greatest Army in the world. Instead of me listing them, I have decided to provide links.
These are just some examples. Black American Soldiers have served the United States since it’s creation, and while not always fairly, there is no denying their contribution to our great nation.

Terror inmates may be released in US: intel chief
27 03 2009President Barack Obama’s intelligence chief confirmed Thursday that some Guantanamo inmates may be released on US soil and receive assistance to return to society.”If we are to release them in the United States, we need some sort of assistance for them to start a new life,” said National Intelligence Director Dennis Blair at his first press conference.
“You can’t just put them on the street,” he added. “All that is work in progress.”
Obama has vowed to close the controversial prison camp by next January and has ordered individual reviews for cases against each of the over 240 remaining prisoners.
Blair told reporters that the review of Guantanamo cases was still underway, and that the government was “building dossiers on each of the detainees.”
The Obama administration is currently evaluating what could be done with the prisoners, he said, but pledged that if they are sent to another country, “we have to be sure that that country will treat them in a humane fashion.”
Twenty men detained at the remote US naval base at Guantanamo Bay in southern Cuba have been cleared of terrorism charges, including 17 Chinese Uighurs ordered released by a US court in June, seven years after their arrest. But the US says they may face persecution if returned to China.
In an executive order signed days after he took office in January, Obama also promised to uphold the Geneva Conventions for the remaining prisoners until the detention center is closed.
Blair touched on the controversial interrogation techniques used on terror suspects under the administration of president George W. Bush, saying that those methods — including waterboarding, or simulated drowning — would not be used under his tenure.
But Blair, a retired US admiral, added that his team was examining other “enhanced interrogation techniques” for high-value detainees that comply with international conventions on prisoners of war.
He did not elaborate on what methods would be used, but said such interrogations should be carried out by “government employees; they shouldn’t be contractors; they should be highly trained, very supervised.”

So how much more do we really need to see that half of the United States voted for the wrong person? Try and blow this one off. This administration is FULL of lunatics that think that helping people that hate us will make them like us. All of the liberal bloggers will probably write this one off until the next terrorist attack and still probably blame it on the Bush administration.
Some people cannot be helped. No matter how hard you try, some people are just going to do the wrong thing. It is not the job of the U.S. Government to pick up the pieces for everyone in the world.
